Chuck began his musical journey at the age of seven by studying violin. By the time he reached high school he was skilled on clarinet, bass clarinet, piano, and his main instruments the electric, acoustic, and synth basses. He has studied at the Chicago Conservatory College and holds a BM degree in music merchandising from the University of Miami. Chuck is also an instructor in the music department of the prestigious Columbia College in Chicago and a skilled audio engineer.
Chuck has toured the world many times performing with such notable artists as David Sanborn, Grover Washington Jr., Ramsey Lewis, Joe Sample, Roy Ayres, Marlena Shaw, Phil Perry, Al DiMeola, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, and many others. As one of Chicago's top studio bassists Chuck has performed on hundreds of records, commercial jingles and sound tracks. Chuck is a member in good standing of the National Federation of Musicians , as well as a writer and publisher member of ASCAP and a voting member of NARAS.
In addition to being a prolific composer, musician, producer, and performer, Chuck Webb is also a dedicated father of three young children. Having spent two years home schooling his kids, Chuck became increasingly aware of the need for innovative and fun educational materials for children ages 6-16. As commercial radio has begun to promote more and more pop and rap music which features and glamorizes drug use, sex, violence, and materialism, Chuck saw a desperate need for pop and hip hop music that would inspire and educate children in their formative years. With this in mind he created the unique educational hip hop CD:
"Mind Games."
